PHOSPHORESCENT GLASS ARTICLE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass article whose main raw material is glass cullet and where a phosphorescent portion can be easily designed to be a desired pattern. SOLUTION: The phosphorescent glass article can be manufactured by that glass cullet aggregates involving a phosphorescent sheet or a phosphorescent plate is heated and fused together. A matter where a binder is added to a powdery phosphorescent substance is processed to be a sheet or a matter where a phosphorescent layer is formed by coating a surface or both surfaces of a sheet material with a phosphorescent ink is used as the phosphorescent sheet. A matter where the powdery phosphorescent substance and glass powders are mixed, heated and formed to be a plate or a matter where a phosphorescent layer is formed by coating a surface or both surfaces of a glass plate with the phosphorescent ink can be used as the phosphorescent plate.
