PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abrasion detector capable of more accurately determining the abrasion state of a friction pressure welding part. SOLUTION: In the abrasion detector 20, the acoustic emission produced from the friction pressure welding part is detected, AE energy is calculated from an AE signal, the abrasion state of the friction pressure welding part is quantitatively estimated on the basis of the integrated quantity calculated by integrating the AE energy with the elapse of time and the replacing inspection period of the friction pressure welding part or the sudden abnormality of the friction pressure welding part or its sign is more accurately determined.
