PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential gear less causing machining burrs in finish machining the surfaces of a recessed part or a groove for securing lubrication during slidable movement formed in the rear face of a gear or a seat face of the inside wall part of a differential case in contact with the rear face and providing excellent retainability and feeding property of lubricating oil in use. SOLUTION: This differential gear comprises a differential case and a pinion gear supported, in a contact state, on the spherical seat face 15 of the inside wall part of the differential case. A plurality of grooves are formed in the spherical rear face of the pinion gear. A plurality of recessed parts 16 are formed in the spherical seat face 15 in contact with the spherical rear face of the pinion gear. Each recessed part 16 is formed in a conical shape with a conical surface-shaped inner peripheral surface 17. The tilt angleθ1 of the conical surface-shaped inner peripheral surface 17 relative to the centerline Q of the recessed part 16 is set to 45 to 60°. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
