Discloses are a method for labeling/separating a cell and an agent for use in the labeling/separation of a cell, which can distinguish the cell readily and have an extremely high cell separation accuracy. A solution containing a target cell (3) is added with a microcapsule (1) having a gas (2) included therein and then stirred to cause the binding of the target cell (3) to the outside wall of the microcapsule through an antibody (4), whereby the target cell (3) can float in the solution and thus only the target cell (3) can be separated.
