A system and method for improving the communication security mainly includes: the information being interacted via the main link between the access layer apparatus and the user terminal apparatus in the normal work state, when a failure being detected in the main link between the access layer apparatus and the user terminal apparatus, a backup work link being established by said AMDF apparatus and the work link being switched to said backup link. It can realize the function of the backup of the user board port and the user board card so that the outage time of the system service is decreased and the security is increased. In addition, the configuration of the invention is clear and easily to be realized.
