An ink-jet printing apparatus and an ink-jet printing method are provided to easily and effectively correct a deviation when a print position is deviated due to an inclination of a print head. An ink-jet printing apparatus records an image on a print medium by using a print head(7) having rows of nozzles arranged so that the nozzles can repeat the scanning and conveying operations. The ink-jet printing apparatus includes a setting unit and a correction unit. The setting unit sets the number of divided nozzle rows so that the plurality of nozzles can be divided into a plurality of groups of nozzles. The correction unit corrects the printing position on the basis of the groups of nozzles.
