A backlight assembly and an LCD having the same are provided to save the manufacturing cost and improve the assembling efficiency, by integrating a lamp cover, a bottom chassis, and a reflective sheet into one another in one body. At least one lamp(200) is configured to emit a light. A light guiding plate(300) guides a path of the light emitted from the lamp. A container contains the lamp and the light guiding plate. A reflective member(430) is formed on the inside surface of the container. A mold frame(500) covers an upper portion of the lamp, and fixes the edge of the light guiding plate. |
