<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an open and close failure or a full-close failure of a slag- off opening door and thereby secure air tightness in a furnace. SOLUTION: A water-cooled frame 16 is fixed with the peripheral edge of a slag-off opening 8 of an exterior wall of a furnace body 1. A guide rail 18 is set movably on both sides of the water-cooled frame 16 in the vertical direction. A rod of a hydraulic cylinder 22 is connected to the top of this water- cooled slag-off opening door 19. A cutter 23 is mounted on the bottom of the water-cooled slag off opening door 19. The front of the water-cooled slag-off opening door 19 is held down with a pushing hydraulic cylinder 26 provided with a presser roller 27 at the tip of the rod, thereby joining the water-cooled frame 16 with the water-cooled slag-off opening door 19. The slag deposited on the front of the water-cooled frame 16 is arranged to be removable with a cutter 23 mounted on the bottom when the water-cooled slag-off opening door 19 is being lowered with the hydraulic cylinder 2.</p> |
