The invention relates to an electric motor (10) provided with a return ring (11). Magnets (46, 47) having different polarity are arranged in pairs on the inner side (30) of said return ring, said magnets being at least approximately diametrically opposite. The return ring (11) has an adjustable, specifically, predetermined wall thickness (30) in the direction of the periphery. Preferably, the wall thickness (30) is greater in a first and/or second peripheral area (31a, 31b) located between the magnets (46, 47) than in a third and/or fourth peripheral area (32a, 32b) which surrounds the magnets (46, 47) at least partially. Flat and light-weight electric motors (10) having a high power density are produced with said inventive electric motor (10) provided with a return ring (11). |
