A plasma display device and a driving method thereof are provided to increase a driving margin of a plasma display panel by improving charging uniformity of discharge cells. A plasma display device includes a plasma display panel(PDP,500), at least one driver(502,503,504), and a reset pulse controller(501). At least two electrodes are formed on the plasma display panel. The drivers apply signals on the electrodes to drive the PDP. The reset pulse controller controls the drivers, so that plural reset pulses are applied on a reset period of at least one sub-field. The number of the reset pulses is adjusted according to the weight of the sub-field, especially, increased for the sub-field with a low weight. Two reset pulses are applied on first and second sub-fields with the lowermost weightings, while one reset pulse is applied on the reset sub-field.
