A wheel hub and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to install the wheel hub conveniently, and to operate accurately by controlling preload of a rolling bearing connected to a hub unit and adjusting the clearance of the rolling bearing. A sleeve portion(12) of a wheel flange(11) is arranged between an axially-protruded part(13) and a bearing(19), and the axially-protruded part is placed between the bearing and an axle(10). A corrugated ramp(18) is formed in an envelope surface to increase the outer diameter of thin wall sleeve members(16,17) in axially moving the thin wall sleeves. The sleeve is installed and arranged along the axial displacement of the sleeve portion, and the other sleeve is contacted to a machine component(22) elastically and axially deformed according to clearance and preload of the bearing and the sleeve portion of the wheel flange. The sleeve is placed near a collar(15) formed in the protruded part axially projected in the sleeve portion of the wheel flange, and the protruded part is axially displaced. |
