THE PRIMERS SPECIFIC TO CERVUS ELAPHUS, C. NIPPON, C. CANADENSIS AND RANGIFER TARANDUS GENE AND THE METHOD TO IDENTIFY CERVI PARVUM CORNU SPECIES

Primers specific to Cervus elaphus, C. nippon, C. canadensis and Rangifer tarandus genes and a method for identifying Cervi parvum Cornu species by using the same primers are provided to improve identification accuracy of Cervi parvum Cornu, and prevent illegal distribution of horns of other animals except Cervi parvum Cornu. The reverse primers specific to D-loop of mitochondria genes of Cervus elaphus, C. nippon, C. canadensis and Rangifer tarandus have the nucleotide sequences of SEQ ID NO:5, SEQ ID NO:6, SEQ ID NO:7 and SEQ ID NO:8, respectively. The forward primer specific to D-loop of mitochondria genes of Cervus elaphus, C. nippon, C. canadensis and Rangifer tarandus has the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:4. The method for identifying Cervi parvum Cornu species comprises the steps of: (1) extracting DNA from a subject; (2) performing multiplex-PCR by using the extracted DNA as a template and primers of Cervus elaphus, C. nippon, C. canadensis and Rangifer tarandus genes; (3) subjecting the PCR products to electrophoresis; and (4) verifying the PCR products.
