APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DECODING MULTI-CHANNEL AUDIO SIGNALS

A device for decoding a multi-channel audio signal and a decoding method therefor are provided to perform correction on the basis of difference between output information and reference information generated in a process when reconfiguring a multi-channel signal as a down-mix signal and a spatial cue and decode the multi-channel signal. A multi-channel audio generating unit(30) generates a multi-channel audio signal as a spatial cue and a down-mix signal. A correcting unit(40) calculates difference between output information of the multi-channel audio signal and reference information, and corrects an energy level of the multi-channel audio signal according to the calculated result.
