A chip filtering system for machining is provided to prevent pipes from being clogged by chips, and reduce space for installation by changing the position of a refining tank. A chip filtering system for machining, comprises a mixing tank(20) for storing a mixture of coolant and chips; a refining tank(22) for storing refined coolant where chips are removed; a vacuum pump(26) arranged beneath the mixing tank so as to collect the coolant sucked by a suction pump(24) for sucking the coolant from the mixing tank; and a belt type filter(30) interposed between the mixing tank and the vacuum chamber so that the belt type filter circulates by a driving motor.
