[PROBLEMS] To provide a parameter adjustment device capable of adjusting a plenty of parameters of a physical model according to a genetic algorithm in a short time by using a plurality of processing devices. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The parameter adjustment device includes process assignment means for assigning a part of processing means to a search process based on the local search method and assigns the local search process to a processor having a low performance. Moreover, the parameter adjustment device collects an intermediate result of search performed by the genetic algorithm and utilizes it in the search process by the local search method. By effectively using the resources in the system so as to efficiently perform adjustment process in parallel, it is possible to decide an optimal parameter group in a short time. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
