A barrier connection structure and a method thereof are provided to increase safety and airtightness by coupling secondary barriers more firmly, and reduce construction period of the tank. In the barrier connection structure of a storage tank of a liquefied natural gas, a resin material(133a) is coated on the upper and lower surfaces of each barrier, and first and second connection jigs(142,143) and a coupling member are included. The first and second connection jigs(142,143) are coupled to contact the upper and lower parts of the end portions of adjacent barriers. Uneven portions(142a,143a) are formed on the surfaces of the first and second connection jigs(142,143). The coupling member is installed in the center of the first and second connection jigs and compresses and fixes the first or second connection jig.
