An emblem assembly is provided to prevent accidents by permitting drivers to easily recognize the existence or the type of a vehicle at night time. An emblem assembly comprises a base(20), an emblem(50), and a cover unit(60). The base has a rear surface on which an adhesive(10) is applied, and a circumference with a mounting part(21) for mounting a PCB(30) equipped with an LED(31). The emblem includes a metal layer; an absorption part(55) formed on the metal layer so as to absorb light; a display part(53) protruded further than the absorption part so that characters or patterns are displayed by transmitted light; and a transparent coating layer formed on the metal layer. The metal layer is attached onto an upper surface of the base, excluding the mounting part, by an adhesive(40). The cover unit is arranged to cover edges of the base and edges of the transparent coating layer formed on the emblem. The cover unit has an inner surface where a reflection surface or reflecting light emitted from the LED. Light reflected from the reflection surface passes through the transparent coating layer, and is concentrated onto a periphery of the display part so as to light only the periphery of the display part in the darkness. The cover unit is attached to the edges of transparent coating layer by an adhesive(70).
