A slip joint for a steering system is provided to improve durability, and to absorb noise and vibration of a universal joint by mounting a spring pin guide and a guide between a pipe and a shaft. A slip joint includes a shaft(304), a pipe(306), a spring pin(400), a spring pin guide(401), a guide(402), a guide body(403), a shaft groove(451) and a pipe groove(452). Plural shaft grooves are formed in an outer periphery of the shaft in the extension or contraction direction of the slip joint. Plural pipe grooves are formed in the pipe in the extension or contraction direction, and faced to the shaft grooves. An end of the shaft is inserted to the pipe, and the guide is fitted to the shaft groove and the pipe groove. The spring pin is formed of a hollow pipe, and inserted to the pipe groove and the shaft groove by surrounding the guide. An end of the guide is connected to the guide body.
