The method involves using a controller (4) to evaluate the absorption and change in the resonant frequency of a resonant circuit when driving a rail vehicle (12) on a section of a rail track (1). The resonant frequency is provided in the section of the rail track. The rail vehicle sends a pulsed signal to the controller to set the threshold or temporal behavior of the controller in busy condition based on the change in resonant frequency of the resonant circuit.
