An IIP3(Input 3rd Order Intercept Point) controlling apparatus in a wireless transceiver and a method thereof are provided to highly control an IIP3 only when a high IIP3 of mixers is required in the wireless transceiver, thereby decreasing unnecessary current consumption. Mixers(32,34) down-convert receiving signals of each band which is low noise-amplified. A baseband chip(230) provides mixer IIP3 control information in accordance with a transmission output level and a mode of a wireless transceiver. A mixer IIP3 controller(226) controls an IIP3 of the mixers(32,34) by the mixer IIP3 control information. The mixers(32,34) include at least two impedances having different impedance values and a switch for selecting one of the impedances.
