摘要 A method for calculating a length of a heating coil by considering a shop service condition is provided to prevent unnecessary manpower/material consumption caused from an excessively calculated heating coil length and fully satisfy a user request with standardization for diverse types of ships by calculating the proper heating coil length based on a service area, speed, and a cargo kind of the ship. A tank for installing the heating coil is selected, and data needed for voyage and basic information of the ship are received. An effective temperature difference between a heat source of the heating coil and cargo by using the received data, and total heating quantity needed for heating the cargo is calculated. An internal heat transfer coefficient of the heating coil is calculated by using the input data, an external heat transfer coefficient is calculated by temporarily setting the heating coil length, and a total heat transfer coefficient of the heating coil is calculated. Heat loss of the cargo contained in the tank is calculated by using the received data, and the total heating quantity needed for heating the cargo and supplementing the heat loss is calculated.
