A light emitting device is provided to improve the quality of an electronic device including an electrooptic device as a display by increasing the image quality of the electrooptic device. A source interconnection is formed on a substrate(11). A gate interconnection is formed on the substrate, crossing the source interconnection. A switching device is composed of a gate electrode electrically connected to the gate interconnection and a first electrode electrically connected to the source interconnection. A current control device is electrically connected to a second electrode of the switching device. An electroluminescence device(203) is electrically connected to the current control device. The current control device includes at least two thin film transistors which are serially interconnected, having an LDD region at least a part of which overlaps the gate electrode of the current control device.
