A system for adsorbing and recovering volatile organic compounds using a microwave, which can efficiently convert adsorption and desorption and can reduce operating time through control using a microwave, and which is not required to treat wastewater, is constructed in a simple structure, is easily operated, and can reduce cost, and a method for adsorbing and recovering volatile organic compounds using the system are provided. A system(200) for adsorbing and recovering volatile organic compounds comprises: an adsorbing and recovering part(210) for adsorbing volatile organic compounds from a volatile organic compound mixed gas to exhaust only air from which the volatile organic compounds are removed; and a microwave irradiation part(220) for irradiating a microwave onto volatile organic compounds adsorbed through the adsorbing and recovering part to desorb and recover the volatile organic compounds. The microwave irradiation part comprises a microwave generator for generating the microwave, and a waveguide for transmitting the microwave generated through the microwave generator to the adsorbing and recovering part. The adsorbing and recovering part is installed on the waveguide to prevent the microwave from being leaked to the outside. The adsorbing and recovering part is a single adsorption pipe or adsorption column.
