A safety helmet having a heat diffusing unit is provided to smoothly exhaust the heat of a worker's head by freely opening and shutting a vent hole opening and closing cover. The safety helmet(100) having a heat diffusing unit is composed of an outer cover(110) forming the outer surface of the helmet; a shock absorbing unit installed in the outer cover to relieve impact applied to the helmet from the outside; a fixing unit disposed in the outer cover to fix the helmet to the head; vent holes(110h,110s) formed on the rear and lateral sides of the outer cover to ventilate the inner and outer sides of the helmet; and a vent hole opening and closing cover(140) installed at the vent hole formed in the rear side to freely open and close the vent hole.
