AN IMAGE SIGNAL PROCESSOR FOR TRANSMITTING PACKET FOR CONTROLLING IMAGE SENSOR OF CAMERA MODULE AND IT`S METHOD

An image signal processing apparatus and a method thereof for transmitting a packet controlling an image sensor of a camera module are provided to compare a packet to be transmitted with a previously transmitted packet and omit the address of the packet to be transmitted and a part of a data processing procedure to rapidly transmit the packet. An image signal processor includes a main controller(100), a converter(200), a packet controller(300), and a packet generator(400). The main controller transmits a parallel transmission signal having an address and data for controlling an image sensor, compares the transmission signal with a previously transmitted signal, and transmits the comparison result. The converter converts the parallel transmission signal into a serial signal. The packet controller controls the generation of a packet according to the comparison result of the main controller. The packet generator generates a packet having a predetermined address field and a data field from the serial transmission signal output from the converter under the control of the packet controller.
