STEEL JOIST USING WEB MEMBER OF CONCRETE FILLED TUBE

A steel joist using a web member of a concrete filled tube is provided to increase shear strength or stiffness along the in-plane direction or the axial direction by shear strength and to prevent the local buckling of the out-of-plane direction by bending moment, and to exclude the necessity of additional installation of a shear connector by manufacturing a steel joist and a shear connector integrally. A steel joist using a web member of a concrete filled tube comprises: a pair of upper chords(120a,120b) formed to have an L-shaped cross section; an inverse T-shaped beam(140) provided with a stem(144) having plural through-holes and inserted between the upper chords to be bolted on the upper chords; a V or W-shaped web member(110) of a concrete filled tube provided with pressed nodes(112) folded from the inner node at the fixed angle and bolted on the inverse T-shaped beam, and filled with concrete to improve the internal stress of the steel joist; and a lower chord(130) formed in the inverse T-shape and bolted with the nodes of the web member of the concrete filled tube. The stem functions as a shear connector to resist shear forces which occur between the upper chords and the slab concrete when constructing a composite slab.
