A pantyhose undergarment (1) having leg portions (3, 4) terminating with knitted-in welts (7, 8) proximate to the kness and a control top portion (5) terminating with a knitted-in waistband welt (6). The undergarme nt features shaping and control properties, and the bare lower leg facilitates wearing open-toed shoes or sandals, for example. The pantyhose undergarment reduces foot slippage that may occur when traditional pantyhose are worn wit h shoes. And, a wearer may prefer a casual appearance that traditional pantyho se do not accommodate. The reinforced control top portion (5) extends down the leg portions to control and shape the "saddlebag" and cellulite regions of t he body. The waistband welt (6) blends into the control top without causing wai st constriction. Similarly, the welts at the ends of the leg portions (7, 8) blend into the leg portions without causing leg constriction. The overall design provid es the user with a smooth, tight appearance when worn under clothing, without causing discomfort. |
