An apparatus for measuring a flow speed and a method thereof are provided to improve the accurate measurement efficiency of the flow speed without increasing performance of the sensor by using different sensors at each flow speed input range. An apparatus(300) for measuring a flow speed comprises flow speed sensors(310,320,330) generating current values(312,322,332) corresponding to the flow speed by using pressure of a fluid(302); an inversion part(340) generating a flow speed standard value(342) indicating the flow speed value corresponding to the current values; a selecting part(350) selecting one of the current values on the basis of the flow speed standard value and a flow speed inlet range(354) of the flow speed sensor; and a calculating part(360) calculating a flow speed indicating value(362) corresponding to the selected current value. |
