An installation method of a median strip having excellent shock absorbing function is provided to prevent posts from being cut or burst at a collision and to reduce the shock added on collided vehicles and passengers by making a median strip to be bent appropriately and to absorb shock. An installation method of a median strip having excellent shock absorbing function comprises the steps of perforating a general concrete pavement, driving a post(200) in the perforated hole using a hand-operated hammer or an electromotive hammer, installing a connector(300) having a V-notch to the post using a fixture such as a bolt, etc., coupling a guardrail(100) to the installed connector using a fixture such as a bolt, etc., inserting a socket(700) for post reinforcement to the inside of the post using a hammer or a chisel, and filling up a gap between the post and the pavement using asphalt concrete. Hereon the median strip contains two guardrails placed to face each other, posts arranged longitudinally between the guardrails at regular intervals and coupled with a cap(270), and a connector fixed between the post and the guardrail.
