An apparatus and a method for confirming the transmission of a message in an open mobile business support system are provided to use an open mobile business system to easily confirm whether a report message for an MT(Mobile Terminated) message, transmitted to a user terminal from a client CP(Contents Provider)/SP(Service Provider), has normally received at a server CP/SP. A real-time report providing apparatus comprises an OI(Open Interface) processing part(22) connected to a client CP/SP(191), a business logic processing part(23), an ROI(Report Open Interface) processing part(193) connected to a server CP/SP(192), and a confirm DB server(194). The OI processing part(22) analyzes a request received from the client CP/SP(191), extracts biz template identification information and the data to be serviced, and provides them to the business logic processing part(23). The business logic processing part(23) executes an associated biz template according to the biz template execution request, transmits an SMS or MMS message to a user equipment in connection with an MP/MMSC(130), and provides a report message for a transmission result. The ROI processing part(193) receives the report message from the business logic processing part(23) and transfers it to the server CP/SP(192). The confirm DB server(194) stores information about the report message transferred to the server CP/SP(192).
