An electric shock insect killer is provided to prevent damage of electric parts by cutting off power supplied to a light trap and an electrode and closing a cover when the rainwater is detected. The electric shock insect killer is composed of a case(10) having a light trap(11) installed inside to allure insects and electrodes arranged on the opened front side at regular intervals in one direction to kill the insects by electric shock; a support frame(20) for propping up the case from the ground in the predetermined height and having a roof(21) integrally formed to cover the upside; an opening and closing unit selectively driving shutter plates(31) movably installed in the front side of the case in detecting the rainwater and controlling the power supplied to the light trap and the electrodes; and a lift unit installed in the front side of the case to remove foreign materials of the electrodes and provided with a brush having bristles coming into contact with the electrodes and rectilinearly reciprocating along the electrode.
