A car audio system is provided to set a function of a predetermined mode among various functions in the existing car audio system, thereby performing the predetermined mode by selecting the corresponding mode. A car audio system comprises a display unit(30), a CD/DVD changer(40), an audio unit(80), a TV set(60), a key input unit(70), a driving program storage(10a), and a controller(10). The car audio system further comprises a hot key setting data storage(12) for storing data according to a specific mode and a specific function corresponding to input of a specific key of the key input unit(70). When the specific key is pressed for longer than a predetermined time, the controller(10) sets the pressed key as a hot key, and stores data corresponding to the function or the mode related to the pressed key in the hot key setting data storage(12).
