It is intended to provide a polymer exerting an effect of gradually supplying an amino acid derivative to the skin, via electrolytic salt- containing fluids originating in the human body (for example, sweat), thereby compensating for the moisture-retention function of the horny layer and maintaining the skin in the normal state; and a cosmetic and a fiber construct containing this polymer. Namely, a polymer sustainedly releasing an amino acid derivative characterized by comprising an acidic group-containing polymer having been bonded to the amino acid derivative via an ionic bond; and a cosmetic and a fiber construct containing the polymer sustainedly releasing an amino acid derivative. ® KIPO & WIPO 2007
