Provided is a skipping rope having a sensing member and a calculating indicator, which automatically counts a number of times that a user turned the skipping. The skipping rope includes a rope(101), a pair of grips(102) formed on both end edge portions of the rope, an on/off switch(103) installed on one side of the grip, a calculating indicator(104) installed on the side of the grip for indicating a number of times that a user turned the skipping rope, and a sensing member(200) installed on a middle portion of the rope for sensing the number of times that the user turned the skipping rope and electrically connected to the on/off switch and calculating indicator. The sensing member consists of a circular case, an adjacent sensor, and a centrifugal weight.
