A feeder for transferring metal band units is provided to transfer decrease the size of a processing machine by reciprocating a vertical block, and to use the feeder in common by transferring the metal band unit according to direction. A feeder for transferring metal band units includes a reciprocating plate(50) reciprocated by a driving unit according to feeding direction of a metal band unit or the opposite direction, a moving block(54) movably installed to a shaft between a couple of fixing members and placed in the reciprocating plate by an elastic member, a retaining block(56) placed in an upper part of the moving block and moved with the moving block, a vertical block(68) installed between the moving block and the retaining block and moved up and down to the retaining block, and a vertical cam unit installed between the vertical block and the moving block to hold the metal band unit between the retaining block and the vertical block by pushing up the vertical block in moving the reciprocating plate according to feeding direction of the metal band unit and to release the metal band unit by pushing down the vertical block. The vertical cam unit is composed of an upper cam fixed in the vertical block, and a lower cam installed to the moving block. The lower cam is moved along the moving block to push the vertical block up and down with the upper cam.
