A push button type locking device is provided to freely design a shape of a fixed object and an attachment by contacting a push button assembly with a stopper irrespective of a contact angle. A rack(12) is installed on a rear part of a push button assembly(10). A shaft(22) installed on both sides of a pinion(20) geared with the rack(12) is freely and rotatably supported on a shaft support installed on a front side of an aperture of a stopping body(14). A stopper(24) is vertically and movably inserted into a rear insertion unit(26) of an aperture(16) installed on the stopping body(14). An aperture(28) is formed on the stopper(24) so that the rack(12) of the push button assembly(10) passes. The rack(30) geared with the pinion(20) is installed on a front side of the stopper(24). The push button assembly(10) is connected to the stopping body(14) by an elastic member(36) such as a pressurized coil spring.
