The apparatus has a separator comprising hollow parts (25, 26) through which a set of articles pass, where the parts rotate. The articles advance through the part (25) for entering and traversing in the part (26). The parts cause the articles to fall between them. An elongated element (32) is disposed inside the part (26), and the articles engage in the element (32), when they are displaced through the part (26). The rotation of the parts, the fall of articles caused by the parts and the engagement of the element make the articles to be separated into individual articles. An independent claim is also included for articles processed by a processing apparatus.
