A recording list management method of a recording/reproducing device is provided to be capable of generating recording lists on recorded data on the basis of ID information preset by a user, thus the user is able to more easily search desired data based on the generated recording lists. ID information on each key for operating a device which records and reproduces data is set(S200). It is decided whether a recording key signal for recording the data on a recording medium is applied, and if so, it is decided whether a key signal where the ID information is set is inputted(S202,S204). If so, title information of the data recorded on the recording medium and the ID information corresponding to the key signal are recorded in recording lists(S206). The title information is outputted and displayed together with the ID information according to a recording list request of a user(S208-S214).
