A copper foil having a blackened surface or layer characterized by being black-treated on one or both surface of a copper foil, and having the color difference DeltaL*<=-70 of a black-treated surface when measured by a color difference meter represented by black; DeltaL*=-100, white; DeltaL*=0 and chroma C*<=15. The copper foil having a blackened surface or layer has such features that it has excellent shielding characteristics of shielding an electromagnetic wave, near-infrared ray, stray light, external light, etc., has a sufficient contrast, has a deep blackened color, can limit the reflection light of an incident light from the outside and the reflection light of an outgoing light from a plasma display panel, and is excellent in etching feature; especially, it is useful for a plasma display panel (PDP). ® KIPO & WIPO 2007 |
