An LCD is provided to improve image quality by preventing undesired specific patterns from occurring due to spacers. A second insulating substrate faces a first insulating substrate. A first electric field generating electrode is formed at at least one of the first insulating substrate and the second insulating substrate. A second electric field generating electrode is formed at at least one of the first insulating substrate and the second insulating substrate. A liquid crystal layer is formed between the first insulating substrate and the second insulating substrate. Spacers(320) are formed at at least one of the first insulating substrate and the second insulating substrate, and maintain an interval between the first insulating substrate and the second insulating substrate. The spacers are disposed in each pixel line with a first pixel interval and a second pixel interval different from the first pixel interval.
