A shift register is provided to increase an effective charging time of a scan pulse by overlapping the pulse widths of adjacent scan pulses while sequentially outputting plural scan pulses. A shift register includes first and second shift registers. The first shift register at the left side of an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) panel(300) supplies scan pulses to gate lines(GL1~GLn). The second shift register at the right side of the LCD panel supplies scan pulses to the other sides of the gate lines. The shift register sequentially outputs plural scan pulses(Vout1~Voutn) in response to clock pulses(CLK1~CLK4) from a timing controller and a start pulse(SP). The pulse widths of the scan pulses are increased, so that the adjacent scan pulses are overlapped with each other.
