The seat (8) has a backrest (10) comprising upper and lower parts, where the lower part tilts around a fixed transversal axis of a support structure between use and storage positions in which the backrest is vertical and horizontal, respectively. A base (9) with front and rear parts is mounted so that the base moves, using guide units, between use and storage positions in which the base is horizontal. One of the guide units comprises a rectilinear guide rail (14) fixed to the structure. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a seat.
