The paintbrush has an application head (3) connected in a demountable manner with a hand grip (2) by fitting units (5). The fitting units have a fitting body (6) positioned in a reception housing (7). The housing has an elastically deformable structure (9) for the circumference of an insertion opening (8). The fitting units have an annular projecting structure (15), in which an annular shoulder (16) is arranged, and a collar (10) forming a peripheral annular skirt with a free end edge (10`) supporting the structure (9) for sealing the fitting units during assembling of head and grip.
