A multi-functional peripheral having a counterfeit paper money identification function is provided to perform counterfeit paper money identification without buying an additional counterfeit paper money identification device and basically prevent the production of an illegal copy by outputting a warning sentence on an output object to prevent an outputted printing object from being used together with normal money. A scanning unit(110) has a lamp(111) and an ultraviolet lamp(112). The lamp(111) reads an image of an object. The ultraviolet lamp(112) irradiates ultraviolet rays on the object to sense the fluorescent material of the object. A printing unit(120) prints image data read by the scanning unit(110). When the fluorescent material is not sensed in the ultraviolet lamp(112), a control unit(130) judges the object as a counterfeit object, and visually or audibly warns the counterfeit object.
