A method for controlling a stroke of a steam-injecting washing machine is provided to normally finish a washing stroke even through an error occurs and to minimize the inconvenience of a user due to the error of the apparatus. A method for controlling a stroke of a steam-injecting washing machine comprises: a step(S20) of setting the washing water and the washing time for the steam washing course into a first set water level(L1) and a first set time(T1) if a user inputs the operating command; a step(S30) of driving a steam heater, operating the steam washing course, and counting a washing progressing time(T) if supplying the water up to the predetermined first set water level; a step(S40) of judging whether or not an error occurs while steam-washing; a step(S60) of judging whether or not the washing progressing time is over the set time when the error is sensed, if the error is sensed; and a step(S70) of stopping the drive of the apparatus and driving the washing heater if the washing progressing time is over the set time, and keeping the washing course until the washing progressing time reaches the first set time.
