A washing machine with an MP3 player is provided to increase use of the washing machine and maximize the satisfaction of a consumer by connecting the MP3 to the washing machine and downloading various washing information through the MP3. A washing machine with an MP3 player(200) comprises: a washing machine body operating the washing course by the rotary motion of the drum, having a communication function of the MP3 player, and playing the contents stored in the MP3 player; and the MP3 player for operating the data communication with the washing machine body, responding to the control signal inputted from the body, and providing the pre-stored contents to the body. The MP3 player contains a connector physically connected with the body to receive the control signal and power, a connection part(192) physically connected to the body so as to output the audio signal to the body, a power input part for supplying the power necessary for the MP3 player, a memory, and an MP3 control part for controlling the digital contents to be outputted to the body through the connector or the connection part.
