A slot in loading-type optical disk player is provided to realize a more perfect protection mechanism for an 8cm optical disk by simply changing a position of one of two photo sensors, thus reliability of a product is more improved. A sensing device comprises as follows. The first photo sensor(4a) is installed in a position out of the center of an entrance side to the left. The second photo sensor(4b') is installed in a rear-side central part adjacent to a main roller(2) which is installed in rear direction from the entrance side at certain intervals.
