A location device of a transfer trolley of a vehicle body is provided to improve compatibility of the transfer trolley, and to cut down expenses by varying a locator according to various kinds of vehicles. A location device of a transfer trolley of a vehicle body includes plural base blocks(3) installed at both sides of a trolley frame(1) and provided with guide rails(5), a rack guider(7) sliding along the guide rail of the base block and having a rack part(9) and a sensing dog(11), a rack cylinder(13) fixed to the base block and connected to the rack guider to move back and forth the rack guider by pneumatic pressure, plural position detection sensors(S1-S4) arranged at regular intervals and installed at a side of the base block to output a signal to a controller(17) by detecting the sensing dog, a fixing bracket(19) vertically installed at the other side of the base block, a lower gear(23) turned around a lower rotating shaft(21), installed in a lower part of the fixing bracket and engaged with the rack part, an upper gear(27) turned around an upper rotating shaft(29), mounted in an upper part of the fixing bracket and engaged with the lower gear, a rectangular fixing block installed to the upper rotating shaft and provided with a position decision hole, a locator(R1-R4) vertically installed to the fixing block, a position decision cylinder installed to the trolley frame through a connecting bracket corresponding to the position decision hole and operated by pneumatic pressure with a position decision pin, and the controller controlling solenoid valves regulating pneumatic pressure applied to the rack cylinder and the position decision cylinder according to the signals from the position detection sensors. The position detection sensor is composed of four limit switches, and the lower rotating shaft is installed in the fixing bracket by a lower bearing.
