A control panel assembly of a drum-type washing machine is provided to inform a user of the position of a rotary knob and operating buttons by coating noctilucence or fluorescent paint in dark place and reduce the power without turning on the indoor light. A control panel assembly of a drum-type washing machine comprises a control panel(100) containing a penetration hole in which a rotary knob(220) is fitted, a button hole in which plural buttons(230) are fitted, and a display window(280). The surface of the button is coated with the noctilucence paint. The surface of the rotary knob is coated with the noctilucence paint. The perimeter of the penetration hole is coated on the surface with the noctilucence paint. The perimeter of the button hole is coated on the surface with the noctilucence paint.
