An LCD and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to effectively prevent the signal delay of common voltage, by electrically connecting common electrodes of neighboring pixels using a metal layer having a row resistance. A plurality of gate lines(103) and a plurality of data lines(105) cross one another to define a plurality of pixel regions. A thin film transistor(110) is disposed within each pixel region. A common electrode(122) and a pixel electrode(124) are disposed to form an electric field within each pixel region. A first metal layer(164) electrically connects common electrodes of neighboring pixels, which are disposed at both sides of one gate line. |
